In the theme of "I wish I would see the HP3000 in print more often,
too bad that Southwest won't talk", it really WOULD be nice to see
the HP3000 spoken of in the "present-tense" ...
On page 100 of the January 29 issue of INFOWORLD, a company named
Intelligent Electronics goes public with its decision to NOT dump
its "host-based" systems, but instead to make them more accessable.
They even mentioned "HP-3000" twice! They had a big budget, spent most
of it, got cold feet, re-embraced the HP3000, built new front ends,
and STAYED WITHIN BUDGET ... think of what they could have done with
that budget if they hadn't read all those articles in PC Magazine.
This is the kind of story that CSY should be planting ... hmmm ...
you don't suppose ..?... nahhhh.
weh
