I have experience with the ADIC autoloaders.  They work well both on the
HP3000 and the HP9000.  Our network backup product HIBACK runs on these and
other platforms so we get to test these devices out quite a bit.  I have also
played with the HP 48L, but only on the 9000 side.  Works fine.
