Hello folks -- I was wondering if someone could help me out.

Recently one of our full stores has started acting a bit strange with
TurboStore's parallel store option. When the fileset is stored, one set ends
up with two tapes used, while the other set can have anywhere from four to six
tapes used. The devices in question are both 2000DC tapes drives, though one
is an internal (C1504B) and the other is an external (C1521B). I'm using
compression on both drives, and I've checked that is indeed set on both drives,
so I'm pretty puzzled. I thought TurboStore was supposed to finely chop the
total sectors of the fileset into even amounts per set, but this doesn't seem
to be happening.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc.?

Does anyone know how TurboStore calulates the fileset sector-total division?

Many thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.
