There are some MAJOR advantages of Stan's program over %DEVCONTROL:
 
1) %DEVCONTROL doesn't work on all drives (not VESOFT's fault; the
   INTRINSIC doesn't work on all drives).
 
2) ONLINE (Stan's prog)  actually waits for the AVR to complete!  Way cool!
