You cannot have a symbolic link to a printer or any other device. You
can have device links created by the :MKNOD command from the CI or
mknod from the shell. And :PURGELINK does purge device links.
As Gavin stated, it is a feature, not a bug. :PURGELINK is similiar to
unlink in POSIX terms.
