The "old" socket interface (NetIPC) comes with all HP3000s that have
networking software of any kind. It's only the ancillary services (network
file transfer (NFT/DSCOPY), remote process management, PTOP and so on) that
require NS. All these are built on NetIPC. If Op Center uses only the
socket interface, it should work. See Gavin's post about the meaning of
"supported" for additional information :-).
