Hmmm...if Qedit would simply allow 4 new SET options: STDLIST, MSG,
ECHO, and SPEED ... and pass them on to MPE via HPCICOMMAND (or COMMAND),
then a simple "set echo=on" would work in the CI, Qedit, *and* MPEX (assuming
it blindly passes non-recognized commands to COMMAND/HPCICOMMAND).
