ftp to ds.internic.net cd into the rfc directory. You'll find all the rfcs
there as rfc####.txt and some in other formats as well.
There's also an rfc index file online which gives short summaries of all the
rfcs... I make a habit of periodically retrieving that file and keeping a
local copy for lookups. (there's also an rfc notice maillist which distributes
notices when new rfcs come out... -I know, probably more than you wanted to
know...)
