The best place to get updated information about PC API is to read the README.HP
file that comes with Allbase/SQL PC API. The README file is where HP can
notify customers of enhancements and fixes that are not included in the lastest
manual release.
I have snipped the matrix describing network stacks supported by HP's API.

4) PC API Gupta requires A.F0.36 or later or A.G0.06 or later.
ODBC requires A.F0.18 or later A.G0.06 or later.
5) This library currently does not pass through the PC API test suite
without errors. Also, note (1) applies.
6) This library currently does not pass through the PC API test suite
without errors.
NOTE: WSOCKETS.DLL is also available from WRQ and Microsoft. Currently,
there are customers using both of these products successfully.
This matrix will be updated as the demographics for PC network
stacks change.
Many HP PC API customers are successfully running on other network stacks
(among them Microsoft's 32-bit TCP/IP stack and WRQ 5.0 releases).
