We market IMAGES/3000, a radiology information system (RIS), which is
interfaced to most of the major hospital info systems (HIS).
Most of our HL7 I/F's include (ver 2.1):
ADT - from the HIS
Order Entry - from the HIS
Order Status Update - to the HIS
Add-on Orders - to the HIS
Results (reports) - to the HIS
We have also developed Results Query from the HIS and real-time billing.
One site has a basterdized 2.2 version.
The HL7 application programs are written in BASIC/V which connect to two
IMAGE databases, an application DB and an interface DB.

No.

See above.
>4) What type of performance are you getting -- is it satisfactory? great?
No complaints to speak of except for MPE/iX 5.0 sites.
>5) Are you running ADT systems on the 3000 or something else?
Again, see above.
Our comm options are:
RS232 - BASIC/V with some calls to SPL procedures
LU 6.2 - BASIC/V
TCP/IP - C/iX
