Not to preclude Bruce's response (in which I, too, am interested), but here
is what I know about the Mac clock (based on System 7.1, not the latest
System 7.5.x):
1. By itself, the MacOS does not include correction for Standard or
Daylight Savings times.
2. There is an Extension (WorldTime) that you can get (shareware?
freeware?) that will do this automatically. It is based, I believe, on the
location you have set for yourself in the Map control panel. (Isn't it neat
how changing your location in Map automatically changes the time?)
3. I use the freeware AutoClock (Control Panel? Extension? I forget...),
which I use to dial out and re-sync my Mac clock every week. It also tracks
how much time my Mac clock loses/gains between calls, and has a provision
for automatically applying adjustments.
Bottom line: The Macs you manage probably need to have their clocks
adjusted, but having it done automatically is a little-or-no cost
situation.
