As long as you are only changing the path of a disk drive and not the
Ldev #, you should not have to reload or restore any data. If,
however, you are deleting/moving devices to/from a volume set, you will
need to restore files for that volume set after the configuration
changes are made.
I'd recommend that you

Subject: Changing disc path without reload?

Hi ya'll,
We need to change the path of some external disc drives (some just need to
change the scsi id, others need to be moved to a different scsi interface
card) used by the *system* volume. Do we have to do a reload (install, then
restore, actually) to accomplish this? I've gotten conflicting opinions, so
I'd like your collective knowledge. If we can, then some help with the
appropriate steps would be appreciated.

TIA.
