Today's Computerworld says HP planned to announce today new HP3000
systems and 40% price reductions on the 9x8 series.

The new high end 996 systems use the PA-RISC 7150 CPU chip and provide
a 15% performance improvement at the same price as the 995. 1-8 CPU
versions are available.

The 969KS has a 120Mhz PA-RISC 7200 chip, with 1-4 CPU versions
available.

New user licensing will apparently reduce prices for customers with
less than 64 users also.
