I found it convienient.  We have several people here who perform sys admin,
and some have more of a UNIX background than MPE.  Those with MPE are
occationally unaware of the MPE name-space equiv for traditional names.
 
I can't think of any reason that HP should include this soft links
automatcially.  UNIX vendors who attempt to migrate software might
like to avoid this phase of the learning curve.
