mpe/ix RELEASE: C.50.00 possible security problem:
 
Be advised that the makecat program functions differently as of c.50.00.
Installing a customized message catalog now requires an update!
 
This is an issue if your security standards call for non descriptive logon
error messages.
 
It is an even bigger issue if you have PC or batch applications that
require specific modifications to the message catalog.
 
To replace the catalog you must run makecat then create a new SLT then
update from that SLT.
 
Can someone/anyone describe the logic for this change?
