We are using an Adaptec SCSI interface in our HP Vectra VL2 (486/66).
Attached to this is the cd-rom drive, a 1 GB disc drive (configured as
an NTFS partition with compression), and HP's JetStore 6000 tape
backup device. We use Windows NT built-in backup software and have
found that it works great. We use the Windows NT Resource Kit
scheduling software to automatically schedule the backup.
Paul Gobes and I found that installing the disc drive and the tape
backup device and getting them configured in Windows NT was a snap.
Figuring out the backup software was similarily easy. We didn't use
any of the backup software that came with the JetStore (and I don't
recall there being any mention of Windows NT). This configuration was
recommended by our local PC supplier and it hasn't let us down.
Cheers,
