DLT Drive and Autochanger

Has anyone been trying to hook Digital Linear Tape (DLT) drives up to an
MPE/ix 5.0 system?  Specifically, we are interested in the newest DLT
technology, which has 40 GB cartridges.  Quantum offers both single
cartridge and 7 cartridge autochangers with standard single-ended SCSI-2
interfaces.  We would prefer the autochanger if it can work.
 
What device driver would be used?  We currently have a StorageTek 3480
autochanger unit.  Could the same device driver work on a DLT
autochanger?  Does anyone know if HP has any plans for DLT autochangers
in the near future?
