From my experience, LaserROM did not work for me until I upgraded to the
Windows '95 June beta - after which it worked flawlessy.

I've been running w95 since the beginning of July and it has been almost
flawless.

Apart from the LaserROM problem mentioned above, I had 2 other problems:

First, my Colorado (aka HP) Jumbo 250 internal tape drive was not
recognized. To perform a backup, I had to reboot in DOS mode prior to
backing up.

Even June beta did not fix this problem. Only after I switched from a
dedicated contrller interface to the floppy controller interface was w95
willing to recognize my tape drive - and it now works flawlessly with the
w95 backup accessory.

The other problem was with my invoicing program, Quickbooks for Windows, by
Intuit. It would crach with a GPF when I tried to print an invoice (kind of
a serious problem for me). A quick perusal of the Compuserve forum suggested
a solution. There is a program included with w95 called mkcompat. It is
wonderful. It fixed this problem, and will probably fix many others.

My hardware setup is 486/50 16mb memory, 1.5gb disk. I noticed significant
improvement in performance - especially with Eudora, my mail reader.

All other software, including wincim, reflection, WRQ NS open, LaserROM,
etc. continues to work flawlessly.

With respect to the HP3000, I suppose the major attraction would be for the
new 32-bit client app's (such as the new MSAccess, which is due out in
November, I believe).

My experiences to date have been positive.
