My understanding is that at some time in the future all of HP's
hardware will be based on the new Intel-HP chip.  If this occurs
the MPE/iX will have to be ported to use the new architecture.
 
I'm sure others may have more knowledge of this issue.

I feel that MPE/iX is being positioned to co-exist with the new technologies
not compete.  I don't know that anything is competition for NT.
