I couldn't make the conference this year, but this is a *great* suggestion.
I've seen something close to it on Microsoft's TechEd conference where they
have had groups of chairs connected to the Vendor Show area with free soft
drinks and snacks. They also strictly enforced badges for the show area.
This worked very well to provide an area where you could go and set and talk,
only problem was that it wasn't big enough!
