YES! Please add something ... how about allowing:
setvar myvar parm
where the CI says: hmm, parm isn't a "variable", maybe it's a
UDC/command-file parameter/variable ... ah, yes, it is.
This would be (1) what a programmer expects; and (2) a solution for Glenn.
