Store on the XL Machine. >>

We used Backpack for about 2 years on classics and one year on XL machines.
We continued with their upgrade into Roadrunner and have been using it for a
few years now. VERY SOLID and FAST. We love it. Of course, our exposure to
other backup software is restricted to STORE (MPE), tar (HP-UX),
fbackup(HP-UX), Arcserve (Novell), and Palindrome (Novell). I would say
that it outperforms all these pieces of software in all important categories
like speed, compression, reliability, and RELEVANT features.
Unfortunately, I can't compare it to TurboStore.

Roadrunner has a unique native interface which I rarely use. I've been so
used to the STORE/RESTORE syntax over the years, that I simply run Roadrunner
in a mode that accepts the old syntax. On occasion, I have had to use the
new style in order to take advantage of some newer features.

  Vince.
