I have written a small utility called vtverify which determines the ip address
of the remote system connected to your hp3k via vt. You can setup a text file
which contains parameters and ip address authentication table. It can set a
jcw indicating an error condition and also log to the console and/or a file.
It can be retrieved using anon-ftp from: wombat.cusd.chico.k12.ca.us
 
The file is named /pub/hp3k/vtverify/vtverify.zip
