I'm confused...you just said you could clone the user volume set...so why
would you have to reload it?
 
Possibilities you might want to explore:
 
   1) are the same disk drive mechs used in the current drives and the
      FW-SCSI drive?  If so, would you want to swap the mechs (and could
      you convince your CE, and live with using used mechs instead of
      new ones).
 
   2) Can the CE bring in a loaner 3000 with F/W SCSI so you could
      build the MPEX_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET "offline", then...do a partial
      on real system, disconnect old MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET drives,
      connect new ones, restore from partial.
 
   3) As (2), but renting a 3000 from ConAm, Ideal, or someone.
