Yes, a HP engineer checked our HP3000/917lx friday, trying to find the cause
for all our DDS troubles (BTW, i have the feeling it started since the upgrade
to 5.0 push). He found that a pair of terminating resistors on the SCSI
controller board were mounted in a wrong position. He explained that a certain
series of nova's were delivered from the factory with the terminators in the
'A' position, while it should have been the 'B' position (or the other way
around, i have had a rough saturday).
 
Thought i'd let you guys know.
