- Well, almost. Name resolution path taken depends on service used.
If you use any of the NS services or NetIPC, they'll default to
NS name resolution mechanisms to be tried first followed by ARPA
resolution (DNS query, hosts-file). However, if you use ARPA stuff,
(FTP, BSD sockets), they'll default to ARPA name resolution mechanisms
and only use NS name resolution mechanisms if DNS nor hosts file has
the answer. This is the way it was on 4.0 and has not changed on 5.0
as far as I can tell.
