Well, Stan is working on an IBM 370 instruction set emulation program for
the 3000, so that brain-dead IBM shops can get a 3000 and port applications.
You've heard about CM (Compatibility Mode) and NM (Native Mode); well, Stan
is doing the millicode for the NL in MPE/iX 6.0 for AM (Autistic Mode).
The project has been stalled, however, awaiting the 3270 terminal emulation
mode support from Grenoble on the DTCs. Inbound Telnet has been delayed
on 5.0 because tn3270 will be bundled with the product. If you think this
is a joke, note that the 9000 currently offers CICS, and it's planned for
the 3000 as well in an express release.

[I really, sincerely hope this is a joke :-) ]
