I) Creation of a formal Mission Statement for SIG Allbase
Starting Point for Charter/Mission Statement (existing?)
SIG Allbase is organized to promote information exchange and advocacy
for HP's Allbase/SQL relational database users.
Suggested Areas of Involvement:
To facilitate the evolution to relational technology among IMAGE/SQL customers,
while continuing to address the business needs of existing ALLBASE/SQL customers on HP3000
and HP9000 computer systems.
Oversight for Hewlett-Packard tools that Create, Modify or Maintain the DBE,
Allbase's SQL Language and Optimizer for Imbedded and Client/Server SQL,
and Client Server Middle Ware (ODBC). Education in the use of and interface
standards for third party reporting tools and development environments.
II) Discussion of the relationship between IMAGE/SQL and ALLBASE and HP's long term
plan for marketing and integration of these products.
III) Monthly Audio Teleconference
Publicity - Who needs to know and how do we invite them.
