Since they are running NetBase NFS Client, I thought it might be our
problem so I did a couple tests. I can reproduce the problem. It happens
with or without NetBase installed, so that has nothing to do with it. I
took a look in SAT and it seems to be in a hard loop in genmsg.
 
Contrary to what Randy described, I was able to BREAK and :ABORT out
of the hard loop. I did my tests on the console, so that might have
some difference with DTC or VT connections. After typing :ABORT,
interestingly enough, the "Ok to purge old file?" prompt is written
to the terminal again as the process aborts.
 
Looks like another big hairy bug in Control-Y. I guess it's just the
day for them.
