Hopefully everyone has seen the previous notices
and/or the IPROF call for registration from Interex,
which says that HP3000-L will be having an after-
hours dinner at IPROF on Friday 7 April, from 19:00
to about 21:00 (more or less). It will be catered at HP,
in one of the same rooms where the daytime IPROF
sessions will be held (we didn't find a suitable off-
site facility within walking distance of the H.Q. hotel).
We are probably going to do the dinner buffet-style,
with a couple main entree choices. Plus will bring in
enough wine so that everyone can have an average
of about two glasses if they want. So far over 40
people have signed up !! (nomex flame-retardant
outer wear optional........... :-) )

REMEMBER: The HP3000-L dinner is an extra-cost
item that is NOT included in the IPROF registration
fee. Don't have final pricing yet, but figure what a good
but not super-fancy dinner plus two drinks would cost
in a reasonably civilized restaurant, and you should be
close..... In other words, trust me...... Besides, if any
complaints on choice of food, wine, or etc., I will probably
just remind y'all that I solicited for someone to run this
dinner thing, and didn't get any volunteers; i.e: you had
your chance..... Anyway, if the food at previous IPROF's
was acceptable to you, I'd like to think no one will try and
hang me for this one......

ONE OTHER ISSUE has been brought to my attention:
What about guests at the 3000-L dinner ??
ANSWER: This is an after-hours function; more like the
reception that a session, so guests are welcome; AS
LONG AS:
(1) Everyone who wants to do this dinner brings *cash or
check* to the door on Friday night.
(2) We can get a final count ASAP; but not later than
Wednesday 5 April (and the earlier Wed the better).
(3) Nobody tries to bring 30 guests..........

ACTUALLY, if any of you are pretty sure now you are going
to bring one or a couple guests, it would be *real* nice if you
would call or email Michelle Pettigrew at Interex before you
leave for IPROF, so she can fine-tune the dinner numbers
AMAP ASAP. Michelle can be reached at:

The Maple Room can hold 100, so would guess we are not
in danger of "over-guesting" ourselves........

2.5 work days to get ready for IPROF.... how do I do this ??....
