Hello Netters,
I am having some trouble installing Oracle 7.1.3 on MPE/iX 5.0. I have done
everything exactly as in the Instalation and User's Guide, and have answered
Y to the question 'Initialize AIF'. I have created a separate account for the
database, as advised. When I log in there and run ORAINST.INSTALL.ORA713,
the script hangs. Here is the complete dialog:

unable to CONNECT to ORACLE after 3 attempts, exiting SQL*Plus
and the script continues (but hangs in the next sqlplus command, of course).
The additional info 143 does not help me a lot, it's probably the file
subsystem number ? I am all alone on a newly installed NP3000/918Lx with 32M ram
and 3Gb free diskspace.
Anybody got a clue what may be wrong ? TIA for any reactions.
