I know that with Digitalk's Smalltalk it is possible to connect to DLLs. In
that case, Quest Software Inc. have a product NetBase Client that provides
access to a full set of IMAGE calls (dbopen, dbfind, dbget, etc.) through a
single DLL. I've successfully linked it to Visual Basic, C++, and even
Borland's new Delphi product.
You might like to consider that or are you looking for ODBC connectivity?
