Along those same lines, I too am puzzled, especially since a large
number of the "requests" are for features supplied by third party
programs (MPEX in particular).  Many of these appear to be well thought
out requests or proposals, so I presume that a one paragraph abstract
explaining the request already exists that could have been included.
Such an abstract would likely generate a better response overall.
 
As it is, I can "comment" on many of these with "MPEX already does that"
(or Security or Streamx in certain cases), which I don't think is what
you are looking for.
