isacc, visual c++ also only works in a windows environ. and
both work on NT (which is a windows environ., but an entirely
different o.s.

We have implement quite a few simple client server apps with
VB. Like doing lookups on the corp. locator file, P.O. status
look ups, etc. The users love these little apps. and we can
knock them out in a day :-) Also, have used VB for Apps. in
Excel 5.0 to make some of our Corp. officers happy with real
time spreadsheet interfaces to various data sources.
