A low-end 700 workstation (with color monitor, 32MB, 1GB disk) will set you
back about $3500 or less.  (I just priced a used one)
 
Of course, that doesn't include any optional software (I have no idea
if software you need for the DTC comes with HP-UX, the DTC, or neither).
The early DTC 16RX machines came with a DDS tape of HP-UX software to
control them (/etc/rdtc* files), and OpenView wasn't needed at all.
