Item Subject: HP3K to UNIX connectivity
Steve,

You should check that you have the ARPA group in SYS on the HP3000. If
you do, then you should have FTP to use to transfer your files, as long
as you have the HP3000 on an interconnecting lan, of course. If you
have an HP-UX box running HP-UX 9.X or lower, and NS services, then you
should have DSCOPY available to you as well.

Otherwise, WRQ's Reflection-FTP works very well, too.

I have posted this message on the HP-MINI listserve as well...

I will be working on a major conversion project requiring
communications between the UNIX box and the HP3K. The HP3K currently
does not have telnet capability. What are the various options
available for transferring data between the two platforms? What are
the pros and cons of each?

     Thanks, Steve
