I, too, have tried to make 132 column V/PLUS forms . . . unfortunately with
no success.  I was trying both through ESC sequences, and by manipulating
the interal V/PLUS structures, and I couldn't get one 132-column form.
 
Now, this isn't to say that it can't be done . . . I *did* have a proto-
type working with *two* 80-col forms overlayed at the same time.  There's
a package called EZC that's marketed by N.A.Hills Computing Services
(519-672-1731) that lets you manipulate the forms in a "character mode"
which lets you turn off BLOCK MODE . . . you can simulate all sorts of
effects -- like pop-up windows.
 
The secret to making a 132-col form out of two 80-col forms is to have
your program change the ESC sequences in the form before displaying it.
(The forms have embedded ESC sequences to locate the cursor properly on
the screen before drawing the form.)  There was an old issue of Interact
(August 1988, I think) that details the inner workings of VIEW's tables.
(All the documentation still seems to be accurate, except that all the
addresses are 32-bit under 'XL.)
