  Over the past year, the HPIB drives have ben a lot more reliable for me than
  the SCSI drives have been.  Of course, we stretch the limits of MTBF with
  almost 600 Gig of disk.  Still, several mech failures, and a fair share
  of power problems with the 3024R's.  The power problems are most often
  just drives that mysteriously go offline and then are fine after a power
  cycle (and Yes, we are on a UPS)
