Due to local serial communications problems, utcvm.utc.edu's Bitnet link
has been out for nearly two days, and further outages may occur Monday as
we call in the vendor for problem determination and repair.  Since the
Listserv/NetNews gateway path relies on a Bitnet link, articles posted to
one may not reach the other within the usual timeframe so the two may be
out of synch up to 48 hours or more (not that they ever kept up in real
time, but they'll be worse early this week).
 
List subscribers receiving mail via Internet (directly from UTCVM) will
receive postings on-time, but newsgroup postings may lag.  Similarly,
newsgroup readers may notice a lag in the appearance of Listserv posts.
