In other words everyone is saying there is no traditional place to put them.
Some put them in a COMMAND group, some in a CMD group, some put them in
the same place as their UDCs, some even put them in their PUB groups so
the default path will work.
In any case, you will usually end up modifying your log in UDC to change
the default path.
Here is a line from my logon udc for my garage machine:
SETVAR HPPATH "!!HPGROUP,PUB,PUB.SYS,COMMAND.SYS,COMMAND.!!HPACCOUNT"
Note the DOUBLE exclamation points. That means it will follow you if
you do a chdir, chgroup in MPEX. Or chlogon in MPEX if you have it.
