A few days before this I ordered one each ZuluSCSI v1.1 Rev 2022c and ZuluSCSI RP2040 Rev 2022d from Rabbit Hole Computing and earlier this evening and again later have been able to boot a 937LX into ISL and run ODE and MAPPER from an image dd’d from a C2247 (using FreeBSD w/Adaptec SCSI interface, back in 2016) and placed on the SD card as file HD6.img and installed in the ZuluSCSI v1.1.

Attempting to START NORECOVERY leads to the sort of failure that indicates clock battery replacement is required. (This is consistent with what happens if I put the C2247 back in.)

No zuluscsi.ini file on the card. On-board switches are set so that TERM is ON, all others are OFF, and the ZuluSCSI v1.1 board is at the far end of the SCSI bus from the controller.

In the middle, I haven’t got the ZuluSCSI RP2040 to work yet, with it in I get boot failures of the form:

Booting...
ENTRY_TEST status = 0

Failed to initialize
ENTRY_INIT status = -4

(imagine hex dump here)

I suspect SCSI bus troubles too. Switching back to the ZuluSCSI v1.1 board has it booting to an ISL> prompt again but I have seen this error with the v1.1 board as well, on my first experiment with it (before I put the C2247 back in and at the end of the bus, with the ZuluSCSI board TERM switch turned OFF and connected in the between the C2247 and the DDS drive).

SCSI bus cable has an ink stamp 9328K, I suspect it is coming up on 30 years old and who knows how much it was wiggled before I got started changing stuff around inside. It could have an intermittent connection.
