If you don't have BLDPARMS.ARPA.SYS setup,
Read BLDSAMP.ARPA.SYS.
It sets default values for file transfers.
I have mine set as
;REC=-80,,F,ASCII;DISC=204800
;REC=128,,F,BINARY;DISC=7300000
;REC=,,B;DISC=16384000
Plus, I usually push/pull to the HP3000, not from it.
