One of the old sticking points in "Spectrum" class when it first came 

out was it was safe to power down after it reached SHUT 4 even thought 

it was not complete until SHUT 6.  So it applied to both HP3K and HP9K.



I think SHUT 4 was completion of disc activity which made it safe.  I 

could be wrong here so feel free to correct me.



Anything after that was gravy.  Just some lost bits that won't get used 

again anyway.
