Since you are using the SET X function, you probably have a COBX type file. Assuming all the files you want to change have the same tag "prevtag", you can use the following:
CT "prevtag" "NewTag" all
Other syntax can be used that would better apply to your context.

Can anyone tell me how to change the comment tags in a cobol (columns 73-80) in QEDIT? That is, I made a bunch of changes with a <SET X="mytag"> but, without re-touching all the changed lines, I need to change the tag on all my changes.
Used to do this all the time, but it's been quite awhile...
