After Jeff Kell passed on we, all members of this list, were all made
moderators.

I think the 'problem' is at your end. The system which is checking your
outbound messages reckons that you are trying to send an executable file
(probably as an attachment). The list strips all attachments before
forwarding posts sent to it.
