The process limits were at the defaults 1000. It has something to do with the number of elements combined for size with the Defines.

He removed a few un-needed defines to resolve the problem for now. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to tell what the limit or size is.

Because if we add elements to other Datasets we could hit it again.

I guess Powerhouse group left might be smaller than the HP3000 group left..

Thanks again

 If the change from sort to sorted is making the difference then it could be a space problem. Try to reduce the process limit, such as set process limit nnn

 Does anyone know what the limits are for QTP version 8.29c?

We have a developer that is getting inconsistent results on output of subfile with QTP. His code has 14 files and over 1000 items in those 14 files with 85 additional defined fields. Some of the fields are 30-40 characters in size. Subfile size is 792.

listftemp lab@,2

TEMPORARY FILES FOR STANFR01.SFDSW,DATA

ACCOUNT=  SFDSW      GROUP=  DATA

FILENAME  CODE  ------------LOGICAL RECORD-----------  ----SPACE----

                  SIZE  TYP        EOF      LIMIT R/B  SECTORS #X MX

LABLAU1  649    792B  FA          0          1  10      32  2  2 (TEMP)

An order should create 28 records into the subfile but is only creating 18.

1.      He can change one of the defines from 30 to 3 and it will create the correct number of records.

2.      He can change the code from SORT to SORTED and it will create the correct number of records

He is going to break the code up into multiple request. Just wanting to know if anyone sees what or where this is occurring at. So we can keep if from occurring in the future.
