This could be useful.

You can get the HP3000 CE Handbook Series 9x7 here
http://www.3kranger.com/HP3000/mpeix/en-hard/A1707-90016.pdf

I'm not sure of the Multi-function card in a 957.
On my 918 I have an A1703-60003 which sounds similar.
On it are 2 fuses: 125 v 2A LF, which I've found at Newark newark.com
(just google "125 v 2A LF fuse")

And as always, double check cables are properly connected, not skewed,
when using a transceiver on the Aui.

In the CE book, page 5-36 (page 143) are 3 possible MFIO cards graphics.
5-37 (144) lists light status.
blinking console/lan selftest: LAN network error external to card.

Subject: [HP3000-L] network fail

I have a 957 which has a selftest light flashing on the main i/o board where
the network cable connects to. It's the aui type not a coax. the system
boots ok but i can't start the network. Is there a way to test the board?
Thanks.
