It's been a long time, a very long time.

The STORE command has the keyword DATE available for use. What we used to do is take a full backup with not DATE specified and then do partial backups using the DATE>=moddate option. The moddate would be the date of the last full backup (no date.) The trick was to change the moddate in the partial backup job every week.

Also, please be aware that when backup database with this method, you only picked up the datasets that had been modified along with the root file. I always liked my databases to be completely backed up every night.

If you had to restore, you would first restore the last full backup and then you would restore the last partial backup.

Did I tell you it has been a long time since I've looked at this?

Denys
