True, but I'm not referring to 7.5, but to the firmware "below the ISL".

And, while I didn't check a 9x8, I checked an E35's firmware (same
hardware as 918, just not crippled), and it does indeed have the "SEARCH" command
at the PDC prompt.

I often use it as a quick check to see if a disk or tape drive is accessible.
