Subject: [HP3000-L] system abort

We had some hardware problems on our 969 one of which was a controller that had to be replaced. That was replaced but we were getting an error about a bad sector. We rebooted to find out the controller was locked and the hardware guy had to replace it again.

Now we are getting a system abort. it will mount all the members then:

start aggregate recovery of mpexl volume set system recovery completed for mpexl volume set userlog recovery completed for mpexl volume set then when it gets to start aggregate recovery of our private volume we get

system abort 650 from subsystem 143

secondary status: info = -58, sybsys=153 system halt 7, $028A

Did we lose our private volume? We thought maybe something wrong with mpe but it appears that finished. How do we recover? I can only bring up the system in single disk, and tried to do a mount member 2 (part of the mpexl volume set) but tells me the mount command is unavailable.

system is down, is a test system, but people are waiting...sigh...and thanks a bunch for any help.

Wes
